ANNA PERRY
How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre?I started my NB journey in 2017.
What do you love the most about being an instructor?I love teaching our amazing community of strong women and the opportunity to provide them with a true signature barre class!
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? Pray to those thighs GODS!
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? In addition to teaching barre, I am a professor of dance and theater as well as choreographer of musical theater and dance. I love riding my Peloton and siting on my back porch with my pup, hubby, and wine glass in hand.
CAROLINE WILLIAMS
How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre?I took my first class in August 2016 and started teaching March 2017
What do you love the most about being an instructor?I love watching clients get stronger and achieve the “little goals” like using heavier weights or trying a HIIT class.
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? Make sure that left side works *just* as hard as you worked your right!
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? I just graduated with my Master of Accountancy and am about to start working as an auditor. Some of my favorite things are traveling, spending time with my friends, hiking, and good Mexican food!
BRANDY HILE
How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? 8 Years
What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love when you can tell a client wants to quit. They are done. But you pump them up, tell them they are strong and they can do it. And they get right back into it and finish strong and are so proud of themselves.
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? I want you to finish the class just as strong as you started!
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? I'm a mom to 2 kids and my husband is a pilot. We enjoy going to the lake, camping, and traveling!
JENNA WEAVER
How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? 2 Years
What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love getting to get to know new women and being challenged as NB grows and changes.
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? Let’s go ladies! Finish strong!
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? My life outside of Neighborhood Barre consists of taking care of my two boys, ages four and one. I also spend a lot of time with people in my community and church body.

How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? I transitioned from client to Instructor in August of 2019
Teaching NB classes has made me a more confident person and I have all of the incredible women I teach and work with to thank for that.
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? "Stick with it!" and "You're almost out of it!"
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? When I'm not in the studio, I am busy working hard towards my degree in Nutrition. Things I love: my family, breakfast food, traveling, coffee with friends, and of course, barre classes!

How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? Taking - 9 years; Teaching - 1 1/2 years
What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love helping clients feel comfortable challenging themselves while working out and encouraging them to reach their fitness goals! I also love the friendships I’ve made with the clients and fellow instructors. It’s such a positive and fun environment!

HALEY GENTRY
How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? Almost 2 Years.
What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love getting to see my amazing clients get a great workout while having a blast!
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? If you’re shaking, that means those muscles are changing!
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? I am a 6th grade math teacher. I love to do home diy projects!
KELLY PEDERSON
How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? I’ve been taking NB (virtually) for about a year and teaching NB since the opening of the Orlando studio!
What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love being an instructor so much! It’s so awesome to see the improvements in all of my clients. I love getting to know everyone and hope to encourage them in my classes!
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? You’re stronger than you think you are!
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? I enjoy time with my husband & daughter! We love traveling and finding new fun places. Dance has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl and I’m so glad I’ve made a career out of it. Also, wine makes everything better!
KELLY PHILLIPS

What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love how self confident I see women become (myself included), by feeling stronger and more connected to their bodies through class. Plus making so many new friends (which seems hard to do as an adult sometimes
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? What can you give yourself (add) here? (Cued during those last 15 seconds of an exercise when you want to quit, but instead I add something on here for you - a balance check? a popped heel? drop a little lower? You can do it!!)
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? I love going on hikes at Radnor Lake (state park here in Nashville), binging on business or wellness podcasts and audiobooks. When I'm not exercising in some way, shape, or form, I'm usually planning my next meal - I love to go out to eat (or pick-up right now) from the trendy restaurant scene here, or bake at home with my daughter Nola!
LEANNE HUMPHREY
How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? I’ve been taking Nb since 2012 and teaching since 2018!
What do you love the most about being an instructor? The community of strong women supporting each other!
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? Push through and let’s build the heat!
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? Former gymnast and collegiate cheerleader married to a wonderful husband and mother of 3, a daughter and set of twin boys exactly 2 years apart. We have a family farm with cows, pigs, chickens, goats, dogs, cats, and a donkey! :)

How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? Since the Greensboro location opened in March. I had been taking Barre classes for 2 years prior. So happy there’s a Neighborhood Barre in Greensboro now!
What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love teaching at Neighborhood Barre so much because of the amazing community of strong women! It is so rewarding as a teacher to see how much stronger clients get and their excitement grow with every class. Being able to share my passion on barre fitness with others it’s amazing. I love being someone who’s boosts clients spirts and help them to reach their goals whatever they may be!
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? “You’ve got this! You can do anything for 30 seconds ladies” “the burn is great but the shake is better!” “Best and final...last sprint, you’ve got this!!”
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? I love to spend time with my family and friends over great food, a glass of wine and good conversation. My other passion is teaching dance which I do as well!

Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? It should be challenging & uncomfortable! Don’t cheat yourself - let’s make the most of our time together. This is mostly mental - your body is much stronger than you think it is!
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? I spend my time pursuing God, my husband and rich friendships! I love being active and outdoors enjoying the beauty of East TN! My arms and heart are full raising and homeschooling 4 kids 6yr & under + a bernedoodle puppy named Otis.

How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre?Part of Neighborhood Barre Maryville for 5 years-four of those years as an instructor!
What do you love the most about being an instructor? Encouraging others to meet their goals. Love teaching forr the close knit community, support, encouragement, and of course the BARRE BURN!
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? Start class with a clear mind letting go of your worries and taking the time to focus on yourself for an hour.
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? Barre is the only workout regimen I have stuck with and have loved being a part of the growth of the franchise and method. Favorite move is seated pretzel.

How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? Started taking barre about 1 ½ years ago – quickly transitioned to be an instructor
What do you love the most about being an instructor? Seeing clients challenge themselves and watching them as they change for the better both externally and internally.
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? “sink an inch lower” or “take that challenge”

What do you love the most about being an instructor? Love the amazing, strong, smart, fun women I am surrounded by both on the corporate level as well as through my studio and now so many via live stream.
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? Barre is so much more than just a workout
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? I feel like have experienced so much growth professionally as a business owner, physically as an instructor and client (I try just take a class at least 3 times a week), and mentally through my barre journey.

What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love getting to be creative and challenging not only my clients, but also myself as an instructor to make every class exciting , challenging, and inclusive to any and every one no matter their fitness level.
Favorite phrase that you use to motivate your class? I love to tell my ladies "It's only 30 seconds, challenge yourself through this change and how much work can you put in in 30 seconds? You're stronger than your mind is telling you!"
2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? Outside of Neighborhood Barre, I am very family oriented and love spending time with my family and my puppy. I am also in the process of obtaining my real estate license, so I am all about helping people reach their goals whether that be fitness related or life related!

How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? Started teaching with our Pop Up events at the end of 2019!
What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love that our clients come to us for guidance in their health and fitness journey and carve the time out for themselves. Seeing from where they start and the progression in just two weeks is absolutely incredible and inspiring to me! I also love the “death stare “ (as I call it) when we all start to feel that shake and burn.

What do you love the most about being an instructor? I love getting to meet and build relationships with clients! It is so uplifting to be on a journey with clients to a healthy lifestyle and see them hit goals.

How long have you been taking/teaching Neighborhood Barre? I have been taking barre classes for over 10 years, teaching for over a year/Teaching at NB specifically since Feb. 2020
What do you love the most about being an instructor? I LOVE seeing a client try something she thinks is going to be really hard and then killing the exercise in class. It is empowering to see clients realize their true strength - whether newly gained or there all along to be discovered in class!

2 sentences to describe your life outside of Neighborhood Barre? I am a mom to two young children and wife, first and foremost. My family means the absolute world to me and they are the reason I do all things. I also work full time in addition to owning the Greensboro studio and teaching a handful of classes on our schedule. Life is super busy but I have always worked better under pressure.
