meet our amazing staff

Originally from Tampa, Florida, I moved to Alabama to attend Auburn University, where I obtained a degree in Education. Being a competitive swimmer, I loved the way swimming toned my muscles, while also providing a great cardio workout, and it was hard to find a replacement once this chapter of my life had closed. Nb is the ONLY workout that has transformed my body since my swimming career. It has taught me the true meaning of being both mentally and physically strong. I love seeing clients challenge themselves, transform their bodies, and build relationships with instructors and clients .
I graduated from Auburn in December, and my husband and I recently married in May. We love being close to our families in Birmingham. I teach 4th grade at Calera Intermediate and feel lucky to do what I love every day! I grew up dancing, starting at the age of 3 and danced competitively for the Dothan School of Dance, the Southeast Alabama Dance Company, and the Birmingham Dance Theater. Barre has truly changed my life! I love staying active, and I love helping people reach their goals by sharing my love and passion for barre, and I love the REAL results that the Neighborhood Barre technique delivers!
Christine is from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and graduate of the University of Georgia. While living in Charleston, South Carolina, after graduation, she first tried barre classes after years of distance running and soccer, and has been a barre fanatic since 2009. She moved to Birmingham in 2012 and joined the Neighborhood Barre team. She and her husband, Luke, have a sweet black lab named Hank and love spending time exploring Birmingham.
I started my career four years ago when I became a Certified Personal Trainer. After teaching several different types of group exercise and doing one-on-one training, I wanted to extend my fitness knowledge and the opportunity to teach barre presented itself. My love of barre is now a career passion and when I'm not teaching, you can find me at the studio managing day to day tasks and a little bit of everything! Of all the workouts I have taught, barre is by far the most effective in strengthening core and overall toning; as well as being low-impact, so it is something you can do every day. NB is a home and family. It loves you, challenges you and will forever change you into a stronger person!
I was born in Huntsville, AL. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature, and moved to Birmingham to attend the UAB School of Dentistry. I am currently a dentist working for a pediatric dental company with locations all over Alabama. I married my husband, Chip, this past October and we have two dogs, a Labradoodle and a Chihuahua. I love to travel, read, and to practice my barre technique!
Kit Clark grew up dancing which is what sparked her interest in trying a barre class. She found her passion for teaching barre while living in Florida right after college. After teaching for two years in the Sunshine State she moved back to Alabama and is thrilled to have found a home teaching at Neighborhood Barre. You can spot her in barre SKINNY Vol. 2!
I grew up cheering and dancing in high school. Exercise and a healthy lifestyle have always been important to me. My love of dance led me to become a Zumba instructor while I was in college. Once in Birmingham, I actually started out as a client with NB and was immediately hooked. It wasn’t like anything I had ever tried before. I saw changes in my body very quickly. I became motivated by my personal results and inspired by the other instructors to teach.
